Why the curve is the useful part
A Born at four years should be comfortably above 74%, because that is what Cupra says it will be at five. A car measuring 75% at four years is technically compliant and genuinely underperforming — and without the curve you would have no way to see the difference, because 75% sounds fine next to a 70% floor.
That is the practical value of a manufacturer publishing its expectations rather than just its minimum.
