66.5 kWh at a modelled 17.3 kWh/100 km is roughly 385 km of real driving against a 474 km claim. Loaded with seven people and luggage, expect less. The EQB is honest family transport, not a long-range car, and used buyers coming from a diesel GLB should size their expectations accordingly.

Why the third row changes the battery question

An EQB is bought by families, and families use cars differently from commuters: fuller, on more highway, on more road trips, with more DC fast-charging. That duty cycle is harder on a nickel-chemistry pack than a solo commute charged at home to 80%. It does not make the EQB a bad buy. It makes the individual car's history — how it was charged, how far it went, whether it lived at 100% — a bigger part of the picture than the model's reputation.

What Mercedes does not publish

There is no capacity threshold in the Australian terms for the EQA, EQB or EQC. Only the EQE and EQS get more — 10 years and 250,000 km — and even those publish no percentage. With nothing to measure against, a comparative reading of how this particular EQB sits against others of its age is more useful than any single number.
