Why degradation bites harder on a small pack
On a small battery every percentage point costs less absolute range than on a big one — but it hurts more, because the range was short to begin with.
A 10% loss on the original Cooper SE takes a 234 km claim down to roughly 210 km before weather, motorway speed or the heater. For a second car doing short urban trips that is entirely fine. For anyone treating it as their only car, it is the difference between comfortable and anxious.
