Lexus runs two separate arrangements, and the gap between them is wide.
The RZ, Lexus's battery-electric SUV, has a capacity guarantee: 8 years or 160,000 km with a 70% floor. That is the same structure as most of the EV market.
Lexus hybrid, plug-in hybrid and EV traction batteries otherwise carry defect cover of 5 years with unlimited kilometres, extendable to 10 years, subject to an annual Traction Battery Health Check after the fifth year. Capacity degradation is not covered.
Lexus does not publish a transferability statement for either. We have marked that unavailable rather than assume it follows Toyota's practice.

The UX 300e problem worth knowing about
If you are looking at a used Lexus UX 300e, there is a specification trap. The car was sold in Australia first with a 54.3 kWh battery and later with a 72.8 kWh one. Those are gross figures. The usable capacities are 45 kWh and 64 kWh respectively.
That first one is the largest usable-versus-gross gap of any EV we hold data for — 9.3 kWh, about 17% of the headline number is not available to you. Any range calculation done on 54.3 kWh will be badly wrong.
The RZ 450e has a similar gap: 71.4 kWh gross, 64 kWh usable.
What to check on a used Lexus
- Whether the car is the RZ (capacity guaranteed) or a hybrid (capacity not guaranteed at all)
- Whether the annual health checks were done, if the 10-year extension is being claimed
- Which UX 300e battery the car has, and that any figures you have been quoted are usable rather than gross
- The tested condition, which on the hybrids is the only information anyone will give you
