Search for an EV battery test in Newcastle and Google returns national providers with the region struck through — it cannot find a page that matches, so it serves you Sydney companies instead. Meanwhile the local results are 12-volt battery shops and auto electricians, because no high-voltage testing business has bothered to be present here.
The practical effect is that Newcastle used-EV buyers are inspecting the most expensive component in the car by looking at a number on the dashboard. That number is a prediction from recent driving, not a tested State of Health result.
There is also no AVILOO-partnered tester listed anywhere in the Hunter or on the Central Coast, which is worth knowing if you have been trying to find one.
