Towing is a genuine battery variable
A horse float, a boat, a plant trailer or a caravan roughly doubles an electric vehicle's energy consumption. The exact figure depends on the load, frontal area and speed, but a doubling is a reasonable working assumption — which turns a 450 km vehicle into something closer to 220 km before you account for hills or headwind.
For the pack itself, towing means sustained high current draw over long periods, which generates heat that the thermal management system has to work harder to shed. This is normal operation and a modern EV is built for it, but it is a heavier duty cycle than ordinary driving, and a vehicle that has towed regularly has simply run hotter for more of its life.
It also means a lot of deep discharges. A towing trip empties the pack far more completely than a commute does, and deep cycles age a battery more than shallow ones.
None of that is a reason to avoid a vehicle that has towed. It is a reason to ask — because "has this vehicle towed?" is not something the odometer answers, and the consequences sit in the battery rather than anywhere a buyer would think to look.
Acreage charging is usually good news
Properties on larger blocks around Camden are more likely to have three-phase power and substantial rooftop solar. That generally means home AC charging, often during the day off the household's own generation, at modest current.
