What the local environment does
North Richmond shares the Hawkesbury's heat — this is one of the hottest parts of the Sydney region, and heat is the main driver of permanent battery capacity loss. Housing is predominantly freestanding, often on larger blocks, with garages and carports more common than in the denser suburbs. Where a vehicle slept is a fair question and a meaningful one.
Larger properties are also more likely to have three-phase power and substantial rooftop solar, which means faster, gentler home AC charging — considerably kinder to a pack than repeated DC fast charging.
Flood history matters here
This is a flood-affected area and it has been repeatedly. Before committing to any used vehicle locally, run a PPSR check for written-off status and ask the seller directly whether the vehicle has ever been in flood water. Water and high-voltage batteries are a serious combination — corrosion of connectors and voltage-sensing wiring can produce faults months later, long after a vehicle looks and drives normally.
