The Sealion 7 uses BYD's Blade lithium-iron-phosphate chemistry — the most durable mainstream EV battery type, tolerant of full charging and slower to degrade than nickel chemistries.
It is also new enough that most used examples will be barely a year old, so the question is less "has it degraded" and more "is this particular car behaving normally".

That Premium figure is unusual and worth valuing: a long-term Australian owner figure across 30,000 km, rather than a test-cycle estimate. 82.5 kWh at 18.1 kWh/100 km is roughly 456 km real-world against a 482 km claim — a notably small gap by Australian standards.
The AWD Performance carries a larger 91.3 kWh pack but uses more, so the claimed range gain is modest.
What LFP means for a used buyer
LFP packs tolerate being charged to 100% — BYD wants you to do it periodically, because the battery management system needs a full charge to recalibrate its state-of-charge estimate against a very flat voltage curve.
So on a Sealion 7, "I always charged it to 100%" is reassuring, not a warning. And a car that has never had a full charge may report a less reliable figure than one that has. That is the opposite of the advice for a nickel-chemistry car, and it is why the chemistry question has to come before the charging question.
