Ingleburn's industrial estate is one of the bigger logistics and light-manufacturing precincts in south-western Sydney, and it is a significant source of ex-fleet electric vehicles entering the used market.

Ex-fleet EVs are frequently good buys. They are serviced on schedule, they are not thrashed, and they come to market in volume at sensible prices. What they are not is lightly used.

Reading a fleet vehicle honestly

Three things separate a fleet battery history from a private one, and none of them appear in the listing.

Cycle count runs ahead of the odometer. A vehicle doing a fixed route five or six days a week discharges deeply and recharges fully most days. That is a complete cycle per day. A private car doing the same annual distance in irregular trips, topping up from 60% to 80%, accumulates a fraction of the equivalent cycles.

Charging is scheduled, not considerate. Depot charging means DC where possible, to 100%, often immediately after a shift while the pack is still warm. Heat plus high state of charge is the combination that permanently removes capacity fastest.

Nobody owned it. A private owner develops habits — a charge limit, a preference for overnight AC. A pool vehicle with six drivers has no habits at all.

What that means for the price

It does not mean walk away. It means the discount you are being offered should reflect a battery that has done more work than the odometer implies, and the only way to know how much more is to measure it.

We see ex-fleet vehicles that measure excellently and ex-fleet vehicles of the same age and distance that do not. The gap between those two is worth thousands, and nothing visible on the vehicle distinguishes them.

Cell spread matters more here

On a hard-cycled, frequently fast-charged pack, individual cells are more likely to have drifted apart. A single State of Health figure hides that completely — you can have a pack reading 88% overall with a handful of cells materially weaker than the rest, and those cells determine how the vehicle behaves under load and how it ages from here.

That is the reading that matters most on a fleet vehicle, and it is not something an owner or a dealer can show you.
