Three things characterise a fleet battery history.
High annual distance. A work vehicle can do in two years what a private car does in six. That is real cycling, and cycling is what ages a pack.
Frequent DC fast charging. When a vehicle needs to be back on the road, nobody waits for AC. DC charging pushes very high current into the pack and generates heat doing it, and repeated heat cycling is what permanently removes capacity. A modern pack's thermal management is designed to handle DC charging — it is not damaging in itself — but doing it several times a week, at high states of charge, through summer, is the combination that accumulates.
Multiple drivers, no shared habits. A private owner develops a routine. A pool vehicle does not. Nobody sets a charge limit, nobody thinks about what the car sits at over a long weekend.
An ex-fleet EV at three years old can be outstanding value. It can also have had a harder life than a private car twice its age. The price difference between those two outcomes is thousands, and nothing in the listing distinguishes them.
The inland temperature difference
Wyong sits back from the water, and that matters more than the few kilometres suggest. The ocean moderation that keeps Terrigal and The Entrance mild weakens inland, and Wyong's summer afternoons run warmer. Heat is the main driver of permanent capacity loss, and over several summers a genuinely warmer address compounds into a measurable difference.
